use hach’s 1720e nephelometric turbidimeters to perform continuous low-range turbidity monitoring. simple plug-and-play two-piece design consists of a 1720e turbidity sensor and a sc200 digital controller. a continuous sample flows through the sensor, which features a de-bubbler that vents entrained air from the sample stream. this eliminates significant interference in low-level turbidity measurement. controllers and sensors are connected using a 6-ft digital cable (extension cable sold separately; max. length of 31 feet).
sc200 controllers provide data collection and display monitoring. they feature a high-resolution display for intuitive menu-driven programming, and optimal data display.
built-in data logger stores measurements in 15-minute intervals for up to 6 months, along with calibration and verification points, alarm history, and instrument setup changes. transfer data to your computer using an sd card (sold separately). controllers also feature a communication slot for use of optional modules; choose from a (3) 4-20 ma output module, or those for hart®, profibus® dp or modbus communications (modules sold separately).
1720e turbidimeters use calibration based on formazin, the primary turbidity reference standard adopted by apha standard methods and the us epa, as well as stablcal®, which is also recognized as a primary standard. optional ice-pic™ modules are available for calibration and verification without loss of sample flow—get results in less than 60 seconds! these factory-calibrated modules don’t require any consumables, making them a cost-effective one-time investment. certificate of accuracy included.
